Bring your English skills to life!

Enjoy summer, enjoy learning English! Our special English and Oxford course combines themed English lessons in class with outdoor activities.

Practise your English language skills in real life situations!

Each week you will have 9 lessons in class and 6 ‘out and about’. In the classroom lessons you prepare for outdoor trips. The skills you learn will boost your confidence using English!

Week	Experience	Trips
Week 1	University City Learn about Oxford University, its traditions, some famous former students and its place in the British Education system	Tour Oxford Colleges
Week 1	Scientific Oxford Learn about some of the famous scientists associated with Oxford, their lives and their discoveries.	Science Tour of Oxford (including visit to the Museum of the History of Science)
Week 2	Literary Oxford Oxford has been the home of many famous writers, from Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland) and CS Lewis (the Narnia books) to JRR Tolkien (Lord of the Rings). Learn more about some of these books and writers.	Tour of sites associated with Oxford’s writers
Week 2	Messing about on the River Throughout history the river has been central to life in Oxford. Learn more about life on the river, and using the river as a guide, improve your knowledge of English vocabulary and the language of socialising.	River Walk and Picnic

Availability: 2nd of July to 24th August 2007. Start any Monday.

Study Length:1 or 2 weeks . 15 lessons per week. 9 lessons in class (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 6 lessons with teacher outside (Tuesday, Friday). 12.30-15.30

Accommodation: University residences recommended. Homestay available.

Level of English Required for Course: Upper Intermediate level of general English or higher. Minimum age: 16
